Aggregates production up in 2014, fourth quarter

The estimated annual output of construction aggregates pro duced for consumption in 2014 was 2.17 billion metric tons, ac cording to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). That's an increase of 7 percent compared with that of 2013. According to USGS, the estimated total annual production for consump tion of construction aggregates in 2014 increased, compared with that of 2013, in 38 of the 50 states for which estimates were made.
