Those steps began early in 2007 with start of production on Feb. 20 at the company's Orca Sand & Gravel Quarry in British Columbia, followed on March 22 with the first shipment of sand and gravel by barge to Vancouver and the first shipment by Panamax freighter on March 31 to San Francisco.
