John Deere's new Machine Information Center (MIC) on-board data logger provides excavator owners with the most data of any system on the market, the company says. Available on John Deere excavators from the 80C to the 800C, MIC helps fleet managers improve productivity, increase profit and minimize operating costs. The variety of data MIC records and its simplicity set it apart from other systems, according to Amy Asselin, customer support marketing, John Deere Construction & Forestry Division. "Many aftermarket data loggers are limited to tracking only a few functions. The Machine Information Center is integrated into the machine systems and records a vast array of data that reveal how the machine was operated and how productive it was," Asselin says. "It's real eye opener for owners to see exactly what the machine is doing for them, and it helps fleet managers do their job with data and not estimates."
