This volume of Plant Breeding Reviews is dedicated to two extraordinary breeders who, with a combination of enthusiasm and expertise, have done much to change the raspberry industry. Both led the way in widening the genetic base of Rubus breeding programmes and have encouraged international exchange of plant material and information.
