Removing Pollutants with Iron

Adding iron to porous carbon spheres produces catalytic materials with the potential to remove contaminants from gas or liquid streams. Engineers at the Univ. of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign have developed a simpler way to make these carbon-based materials.
