Mechanisms of exciton energy transfer in Scheibe aggregates

In this paper we provide a critical reassessment of the most important physical mechanisms in Langmuir-Blodgett Scheibe aggregates. Specific issues discussed involve the hierarchy of time and energy scales, estimates of model parameters, and their consequences in terms of physical behavior. In particular, we address the issue of determining the strength of the exciton-phonon interaction and its effect on the formation and dynamics of a coherent exciton domain. [References: 44]
