Qatar to invest in Egypt floating LNG

Private equity firm. Citadel Capital and Qatari investment bank, Qlnvest have entered into a joint venture that will see the consortium construct and own facilities needed to mobilise a floating LNG storage and re-gasification unit (FSRU) in Egypt. The joint venture, which also includes a number of individual Qatari investors, will import LNG, re-gasify it at the FSRU, transmit it through the Egyptian national natural gas grid and market the natural gas to local high-volume end-users.
