Ichthys project moves forward

French major Total and its Japanese joint venture partner Inpex will invest US$34 billion for the final investment decision for the Ichthys LNG project in Australia.The project will be the second most expensive project ever undertaken in Australia, eclipsed only by Chevron's US$43 billion LNG giant Gorgon that is being built on Western Australia's Barrow Island.
