摘要

The paper presents a vector representation for simulated annealing problems in separation. The approach enables the use of rigorous models in the optimization. The representation accounts for the development of moves with ease and efficiency. The vector co-ordinates the perturbations and the evolution of states, and is combined with operational moves with adjustable controls. The representation applies to separation related problems and the paper illustrates applications in separation sequencing and reaction-separation systems. [References: 32]
