Regulations place limits on chemical process industries (CPI) facilities that emit pollutants such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon monoxide (CO), and nitrogen oxides (NOx). Catalytic oxidation, selective catalytic reduction (SCR), and nonselective catalytic reduction (NSCR) are becoming more widely used on exhaust streams from equipment such as boilers, ovens, and engines to effectively and efficiently control airborne pollutants.
