Ownership,as the old adage suggests,is easier to maintain if you have possession of something,and is much more difficult to enforce if you don't.This principle applies to patent rights as much as to tangible objects.To be entitled to a patent,an inventor must demonstrate that he or she conceived or has possession of something truly new and novel.
