Under the assumption that the mixing of vector states and isoscalar components in effective amplitudes involving isospin-symmetry breaking caused by quark electromagnetic currents factorizes, the branching ratio for the radiative decay J/psi -> a(0) is estimated at 3 x 10(-3).
