Bioregulators in fruit crops: research developments and practical applications.

摘要

A brief account is given of papers presented at the 11th Symposium on "Bioregulators in Fruit Production", organized by the working group of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) in Mexico in 2005. The opening paper dealt with the structure and properties of the fruit cuticle. The symposium covered biochemical and molecular aspects of bioregulators, their use in propagation, for controlling vegetative development, dormancy, flowering and fruiting, fruit thinning and ripening. Contributions were offered on new classes of natural compounds and concluded with an account of the role bioregulators can play in helping solve problems of fruit production worldwide..
