From the first year of Baoding, Yu Xin’s uncooperative attitude towards the regime of the Northern Zhou Dynasty gradually turned into his identification with the culture of it. After that, he opened his hear t and tried to integrate into the Northern Zhou regime successfully. His specific performance is in six aspects: actively engaging in politics, writing the temple poems for the Northern Zhou Dynasty, eulogizing the regime of the Northern Zhou Dynasty with poems, writing inscriptions and epitaph for the meritorious statesmen of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, being concerned about the extinction of the Northern Qi Dynasty by Northern Zhou Dynasty, and being worried about the political situation in the late Northern Zhou Dynasty.
