The development status of rural informatization in Beijing was analyzed from three aspects, including infrastructure building, resource platform and service system, and the information technology application in rural areas. The infrastructure building in Beijing had certain scale, the network coverage in rural counties and the rate of network into village almost reached 100%. The construct of resource platform and service system were multiple, it provided various types of services for farmers' lives. However the information platforms and sites were dispersive and they were needed to be integrated and shared. The typical '211 information platform' had strong inquiry, analysis and synthesis of decision-making services function through integrated and shared municipal units and counties' agricultural resources. On the aspect of information technology application for, informatization technologies have enhanced the technology level of Beijing urban modern agriculture and sustainable development capacity. The application of public service, e-government and e-commerce facilitated farmers.
