摘要：This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership on employee voice behavior. Specifically, this study investigates the mediating role of positive affect in linking sformational leadership with voice and the moderating role of over-qualification in influencing the mediation of positive affect. In particular, a twowave survey was con ducted. A sample of 271 participa nts complete a questionnaire measuring tran sformati on al leadership, positive affect and various demographic variables in the first wave. Then, they complete a second questionnaire measuring perceived over-qualification and voice behavior 2 weeks later. We conduct a series of multiple regression analyses to test the model. The results show that positive affect partially mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and employee voice behavior. Over-qualification moderated the relationship between positive affect and voice. In addition, moderated mediation analyses reveal that positive affect mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and voice only for highly over-qualified employees. This study investigates a new method linking transformational leadership and voice from an affective perspective by finding the mediating effect of positive affect. We also verify the role of "energized to" process in shaping proactive behaviors. Finally, this study examines the boundary conditions of the effect of positive affect on voice.
摘要：In the literature on the migrant phenomenon in China, homeownership, city integration, and sense of happiness have all been examined, yet the synergetic relationship among these three factors has not been fully discussed. This study uses the 2012 National Dynamic Monitoring Database of Migrants created by the National Health and Family Planning Commission of China to explore the cooperative relationship between migrants, homeownership, city in teg ration and the sense of happiness. Generally, renting houses reduces migrants/ sense of happiness. However, with migrantsz greater integration into the place to which they have migrated, the sense of happiness of migrants who live in rental houses is enhanced to a greater degree than those who live in their own houses. This phenomenon is clear among migrants who have moved from less developed regions to developed regions and among those who have moved relatively longer geographical distances. This study demonstrates a city integration mechanism through which homeownership influences migrants'' sense of happiness. We con tribute to happiness economics research and propose a scientific basis for speeding up new urbanization as well as improving a housing system which encourages both house renting and purchasing in China.
摘要：Although exploration and exploitation, as a pair of paradoxical organizational outcomes, are generated by different causal conditions, the conjunction of their respective causal antecedents has yet to be fully examined. Combining environmental uncertainty, unit interdependence, entrepreneurial bricolage and firm life cycle stage in a qualitative comparative analysis (QCA), the distinct causal configurations of exploration and exploitation are formalized and compared based on a survey of founders or high-level managers in 63 small firms. Results show that contrasted relationships between entrepreneurial bricolage and unit interdependenee exist in that the two antecedents are partial substitutes in exploration whereas they are complements in exploitation when combined with other conditions. This study provides empirical evidence on the causal configurations of exploration and exploitation and deepens our current understanding of ambidexterity.
摘要：Employing a sample of 1476 firms and 5,130 firm-years in China, we examine the relationship between social capital and macro organizational innovation. Based on the relational view and social capital theory, this study investigates how the top management team (TMT) in side an organization bridges and bonds social capital to influence innovations combined with organizational network position. Through empirical tests based on listed companies in the whole network of the interlocking directorate using the dataset of listed companies in China from 2008 to 2014, the study finds that:(1) TMT global social capital has an essential positive effect on innovation,(2) TMT overseas social capital has significant positive consequences on prestige and power (network position),(3) network position mediates the relationship between TMT overseas social capital and innovation, and (4) TMT bank social capital has a moderating effect on the relationship between network position and innovation.

摘要：Limited empirical investigation has been devoted to understanding the multipleeffect mechanisms of moral leadership, especially the relationship between mediators. Drawing from both social learning and social exchange theories, this study examines whether value congruenee and leader-member exchange (LMX) mediate the effect of moral leadership on followers'' positive work behaviors. Using two-wave survey data from 395 Chinese employees, the results indicate that both value congruence and LMX act as mediators in the relationship between moral leadership and positive work behaviors. Furthermore, a sequential mediation link from moral leadership to value congruenee, then to LMX, and finally to positive work behaviors was established. Theoretical and practical implications are further discussed.
摘要：This study aims to contribute to marketing theory by applying monopolistic competition theory to investigate how differentiation affects online retailers7 pricing power. We examine the intermediary effect of customer loyalty on the relationship between differentiation and pricing power of online retailers. We assume that customers have different preferences for the differentiated characteristics of online retailers, and thus different degrees of willingness to pay premiums, which gives online retailers pricing power. Structural equation modeling (SEM) is employed to test the hypothesized relati on ships between differentiation, customer loyalty, and pricing power. The statistical results of the empirical data indicate that some of the differentiation characteristics of online retailers can cultivate their pricing power indirectly. Logistics quality followed by commodity assortment and transaction security produces profound effects on the buildup of pricing power with customer loyalty as an intermediary factor. Results further reveal that commodity quality is positively related to pricing power. This study expands the definition of differentiation by combining corporate strategic positioning with commodity pricing. Implications for practice and di recti ons for future research are provided.
摘要：Indigenous business research has largely mirrored the economic growth in China over the past 40 years,which has reached a critical juncture.It is,therefore,important to take stock of the past progress to identify critical success factors and remaining challenges,in searching for paths to the next leap forward.To this end,this commentary will first review the key milestones in indigenous business research over the past four decades.Then it will highlight two paradoxes,namely,the lack of indigenous theories despite the phenomenal growth of Chinese firms,and the growing divergence between scientific rigor and low relevance to practice,which will need to be addressed in the future.Lastly,several predications and suggestions will be offered.
摘要：Transformational leadership,generally considered as a desirable leadership style,has positive effects on various performance outcomes of employees;however,its productivity has been called into question because of a relative neglect of its negative aspects.Addressing this gap,an attempt at rethinking the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance is important.The paradoxical perspective indicates that conflicting positive and negative effects of transformational leadership can coexist,which provides possibility and rationality for thorough consideration of employees''task performance influenced by transformational leaders.Integrating the principle of diminishing marginal utility and the"Too-Much-of-a-Good-Thing(TMGF)"effect,this research explores an inverted U-shaped relationship between transformational leadership and employee task performance.Furthermore,applying social cognitive theory,we assume an employee''s proactive personality moderates the curvilinear influence of transformational leadership on employees''task performance.As expected,results from a study of data from 209 supervisorsubordinate relationships from China showed that the inverted U-shaped relationship between transformational leadership and employees''task performance was moderated by employees''proactive personality.Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
摘要：High-performance work systems have been widely adopted in the workplace. Previous research on high-performance work systems debated whether the generated effects are mutual gains of conflicting outcomes for employers and employees.Drawing on the job demands and resources model,this conceptual study proposes that high-performance work systems can be both beneficial and harmful by eliciting distinct perceptions in employees.Specifically,perceptions of job resources are the positive and perceptions of job demands are the negative mechanism whereby high-performance work systems affect employee job performance.This research further proposes that servant leadership strengthens the positive impact of high-performance work systems,whereas directive leadership strengthens the negative impact.Overall,this conceptual research provides new insights into the research on high-performance work systems.
摘要：This study reviews the influential accounting literature on China topics published both in international and Chinese journals in the recent four decades to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up in China.We first review the literature published in the first two decades,where normative research is dominant and financial accounting and managerial accounting are the main topics.Then, looking more in-depth at the most recent literature,we separately discuss the articles published from 1998 to 2007 and from 2008 to 2018,in which many topics are covered including financial accounting,managerial accounting,financial management and corporate governance,auditing and tax.Finally,conclusions and future suggestions are raised based on the issues explored over the past four decades.
摘要：This paper investigates the impact of corporate spinoffs on executive compensation. We find no significant association between executive compensation and stock returns prior to spinoffs,but a significant positive association between the two afterwards.We also find evidence that corporate governance generally improves after the spinoff.In addition,the positive association between executive compensation and stock returns is more pronounced for firms with greater imp.rovements in their corporate governance. Overall,our findings support the notion that spinoffs create value by reducing agency costs.
摘要：By carefully reviewing our research and related literature,in this paper,we propose a two-stage model of Chinese firms''technological catch-up,and provide asymmetrybased explanations.We argue that at the approaching stage,Chinese firms mainly focus on knowledge accumulation through frugal innovation for capturing local and global low-end markets;while at the pole vault stage,they focus on knowledge creation through radical innovation for capturing the high-end market.Moreover,we propose that lacking world-leading technologies but striving to achieve technological catch-up quickly,Chinese firms mainly rely on asymmetric resource and capabilities that are embedded within Chinese institutional,technological and market contexts.Turning these asymmetries into sustainable capabilities and then matching them to market opportunities by developing asymmetric innovation strategies,Chinese firms could achieve technological catch-up in a unique way.
摘要：Long-term commitment is a motivational factor that drives people towards entrepreneurship.Scholars and practitioners have lacked a robust and validated instrument for measuring long-term commitment and its dimensions in the specific context of entrepreneurship.Based on a unique dataset of emigration statuses of Chinese entrepreneurs,we develop an instrument of entrepreneurial long-term commitment and test its impacts on corporate outcomes and entrepreneurs'',individual behaviors.We observe that entrepreneurial long-term commitment significantly affects corporate policies,long-term shareholder wealth and entrepreneurs''individual behaviors.Our research also helps to evaluate the values of these entrepreneurs in China.
