摘要:Commencing from the age of 35 years,bone loss is accelerated after the menopause due toleek of secretion of estrogens. This hone loss is secondary to an increase in bone turnoverwith bone resorption being more increased than bone formation. Within the space of a few years,postmenopausal women may be affected by osteopenia and progressively by osteopomsis and their clinical consequences. Strontium ranelate is answ drug with a unique made of action,both increasing bone formation and decreasing bone resotpaon,which rebalancesbone turnover in favor of formation.
摘要:In the past years,collaborative research on herbal medicine and bon metabolic conditions including osteoporosis andosteonecrosis has been implemented. Following is a summery of few relevant prcclinical and clinical studies conducted inauthors' institutions and that arc also partially published in SCI journals.This study was designed to investigate if a group of flavonoids (FE) derived from herbal Epimedium Brevicornum Maxim exerted its preventive effects on estrogen-deficiency-induced osteoporosis mainly through an enhancement in intestinal calcium absorption in 45 12-month-old female Wistar rats.
