Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control for tanners within the European Union

摘要

The purpose of the Council Directive is to achieve integrated prevention and control of pollution from a range of industries leading to a high level of protection for the environment as a whole. A document has been produced on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) that forms part of a series presenting the results of an exchange of information between EU Member States and industries concerned on best available techniques (BAT), associated monitoring, and developments in them. The objective of this study is to use energy and resources effectively for all fields of industry for sustainable manufacture. Within this study the tanning industry is recognised as a specific industry, and is not viewed as part of a "basket of industries in the chemical sector."
