Morocco road development

Morocco is continuing with its massive programme of transport infrastructure development. Road construction has been prioritised under the programme, although the works have also included the construction of high speed railway links and new airport facilities. In all, roads carry around 90% of passenger traffic and 75% of freight in Morocco. The country has boosted its annual spending from US$528 million/year for 2008-2011 to $686.4 million/year for 2012-2017 and planned to reach $739.2 million/year.
