Yorkshire's Tour de Fleece

In the lead up to the Grand Depart of the 2014 Tour de France cycle race from Leeds (Saturday, July 5), Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, has been flying the flag for the county wearing a bespoke jacket made from the 40 mile Yorkshire fleece. Travelling just 40 miles from fleece to fabric, this eco cloth showcases the skills, heritage and modern day innovation of woollen/worsted textiles and clothing manufacture in the region.
