Chinese textile and clothing export recovery

According to China Customs, textiles and clothing exports during December amounted to US$26 billion, up 6.29% from November and by 7.87% from the same month last year. Total exports during 2013 were worth nearly US$284 billion, a rise of 11.4%, versus 2012, with textiles and apparel contributing equally to the growth. The year-on-year expansion shows a marked improvement on that recorded during 2012, when exports totalled US$255 billion, only 2.84% more than the previous year.
