Provision Communications, a Bristol, UK-based provider of video over wireless technology, has announced the establishment of its new division focused on HD video over wireless consumer products.rnTo support the division, Ian Walsh has been appointed as VP of business development. Ian is an experienced business development specialist with an extensive background in electronics, telecommunications, and semiconductor products for both large companies and startups. He will play a key role in the new division by spearheading the introduction of the new products to the marketplace.rnIan was formerly CEO of Paris-based MnD Semiconductors, a multiprocessor SoC company specialiing in broadband and MPEG-4/H.264 video codecs. Prior to that, he held a series of senior positions at various technology companies, including Alcatel Microelectronics, Rockwell Digital Communications, and Westell Ltd., the VoIP and xDSL wireless router OEM. He holds an MSc in electrical and electronic engineering from Portsmouth Polytechnic.
