Wavion Selected By San Luis Telecommunications To Provide Wi-fi Coverage For Formula Gt1 And F1 In San Luis, Argentina

Wavion, San Luis Telecommunications SAPEM, and XN Argentina S.A. of Buenos Aires, Argentina, announced the deployment of Wavion WBS-2400 base stations along thernnewly opened circuit of GT1 and Formula One (F1) in the province of San Luis, Argentina. Thel WBS-2400 will provide high-speed wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) along the Formula One racetrack. The first race took place on Nov 21-23, 2008. We are proud to provide free Internet connectivity along the newly opened Formula GT1 circuit in San Luis, said Juan Santiago Marini, general manager of San Luis Telecommunications SAPEM. We believe that the high profile and popularity of the Formula GT1 and Formula 1 events will attract a lot of visitors to San Luis and want to ensure free broadband wireless connectivity for the needs of the circuit operation and the spectators.
