CITC seeks public views on updated WLAN spectrum rules and allocations by 08 July

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has published a public consultation on the updated Radio Spectrum Allocation and Use Regulation for WLAN Applications. The CITC invites interested parties to submit their views before 08 July. It updates the rules for WLAN frequency bands in Saudi Arabia and identifies new spectrum for such use in the 6 GHz and 60 GHz bands. The updates aim to enable the latest wireless technologies in the Kingdom, which include the sixth generation of Wi-Fi technologies (WiFi - 6e), WiGig technology, virtual and augmented reality (VR / AR) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
