J:COM plumps for Plume

Claiming a first for the Asia-Pacific region, Japanese cableco J:COM has launched 'J:COM Mesh Wi-Fi powered by Plume', which it describes as 'a new Smart Home Services offering designed to improve, personalize and secure the home network across all of its cable systems nationwide'. Working in partnership with Plume distributor SCSK Corp, J:COM says the new platform will be 'powered by cloud-based artificial intelligence' Al, offering 'an integrated solution that is controlled from the Plume app'. The cableco's new service should enhance the end-user online experience through a range of features such as 'custom guest access, parental controls, and Al security for added protection of their devices. The press release also noted that Plume's new Adaptive Wi-Fi solution (which 'monitors, adjusts and optimizes your network for peak performance') will work alongside the Japanese company's existing broadband connection to the home, letting customers make the most of its ultra-fast internet speeds in the home.
