With the same R30 series 3-cup rotors as previous generations, the new use of a precision ball-race mounted shaft in the A100 series anemometers ensures low threshold speed and good repeatability. The outline and mechanical design, common to all in the A100 series, remains largely unchanged since the introduction of the original Porton anemometer in 1972. In accordance with IEC61400-12-1 requirement, the anemometers measure wind speed accurately in the field, not just in test tunnels. The A100 series anemometers, built with weather-resistant plastics, anodized aluminum, and stainless steels, withstand continuous exposure to harsh conditions.
