Lucille Olszewski

Lucille Olszewski began her career in wind energy as a meteorologist at U.S. Windpower in 1985, fresh out of Penn State University. She worked alongside industry pioneers Earl Davis, John Wade, Bob Baker, Ron Nierenberg, Jack Kline, and Ed McCarthy, who set the standards for measuring wind and micrositing turbines. One of Lucille's contributions to wind-resource assessment was some of the earliest work in radio telemetry and phone integration for data collection in remote areas. This technological advancement is the basis for some of today's cellular and satellite data collection processes.
