Space-frame tower promises more height, lower costs

Windpower developers want to reach higher winds with taller turbine towers, especially in Europe, where wind speeds are slower than in the U.S. The lingering and prohibiting question has been this: How will the industry reach those heights cost-effectively? GE's renewable energy business claims it has a solution.
