This issue continues our international coverage of a wide variety of wind engineering topics, this time with an emphasis on electrical engineering. This issue starts with two papers that concentrate on doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) operation and control. The first paper is by Nemmour and Abdessemed from Mentouri University in Algeria involves an analysis of an input-output linearizing control scheme for a doubly-fed induction generator connected to a utility grid. The second paper is by Wang, Shi, Wang and Ni from Tsinghua University in Shenzhen (China). It summarizes a modeling and small signal stability analysis of a grid connected doubly-fed induction generator.
