摘要

This issue contains 8 papers on some subjects of major importance to the wind engineering field. On this note, the first two papers summarize important work in the area of offshore wind energy. The first paper is by Bonnie Ram from Ram Power (USA) and presents an overview of the potential risks and uncertainties associated with siting, constructing, and operating offshore wind facilities within a gigawatt-scale deployment strategy in North America.
