Mott MacDonald takes over its alliance partner

Mott MacDonald has taken over its UK water industry design and build joint venture partner Bentley Holdings, including its subsidiary company JN Bentley, for an undisclosed sum. The development is described as a natural progression in the successful 15-year partnership between the companies through the Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) joint venture. The MMB joint venture, which was set up 15 years ago, has new and extended. JN Bentley employs 700-plus people and has a turnover of £120M. More than 80% of its business is derived through MMB, which was established in 1999 to operate as a wholly integrated, co-located JV by combining all facets of design, programme management, site investigation and construction in one organisation.
