In Part 1 of this series we looked at the types of furnace that are used when undertaking the reducing atmosphere furnace brazing of stainless steels. In Part 2 we examined the detail of the chemical reduction of surface oxides to ensure that the surface of the stainless steel parts are clean enough to permit its wetting and joint production by the molten filler material during the process cycle. This third part of the series of four articles discusses the fine detail of the use of reducing atmosphere brazing furnaces in a production environment and also takes a brief look at the various filler materials that are in common use internationally.
