The following is a summary of the discussions that occurred at the Government/Industry Airlines Affairs Workshop at the 2008 International SAWE Conference in Seattle, Washington, on May 20, 2008:rnAt the previous International Conference in Madrid, Spain, airplane manufacturers were asked if it was possible to weigh aircraft without dribble draining fuel. This would save valuable time and resources and would enable the operator to get the airplane back into service quickly. This led into a group discussion about why different airplane manufacturers have different requirements for weighing airplanes. Airbus suggested that a team be assembled to identify these differences and try to determine why the differences exist.
