Willis Ray Roberts of Marietta, Georgia, died January 27, 2009. He was a retiree of Lockheed Martin Corporation and a long time member of SAWE.rnRay was a native of Georgia, born March 1,1932, in Irwin County. He attended Georgia Tech and had a co-op job at the Lockheed Georgia facility in Marietta. Graduation with a degree in Civil Engineering followed in 1954. He spent his entire 37-year career at Lockheed Georgia.rnIn the early 1970s, Ray took an interest in round dancing and by 1978 he and his wife, Robbie, were teaching classes and organizing local clubs. They traveled to conventions across the country and never missed a beat. "He was never happier than when he was dancing," Robbie said. "That was one of his joys."
