For many of us engineers, our personal and career growth has been the result of our preparedness, opportunities, encounters and experiences. In my inauguration speech, I shared with members my personal story of how I was mentored from the beginning of my career and how that mentorship influenced my involvement in professional engineering societies. It's my intent to continue sharing similar stories of other SAWE members in an effort to bring attention to the importance of professional relationships between veteran and less-experienced mass property engineers. What follows is a mentoring treatise of one of SAWE's Honorary Fellows which I hope will inspire veteran members to extend their hand, or less-experienced engineers to receive that hand, in the mentoring process which is rewarding to both the mentor and the individual mentored ~ Bill Boze, SAWE President
