Specifically, an aluminium phthalocyanine system was used as a pho-toactivator. Substances of this kind are currently being employed by the textile and detergent industries for bleaching and colour enhancing purposes. The paper explains me process of photocatalytic oxygen activation and potential reaction mechanisms. Metal organic catalysts of this kind have entered the fields of paper and pulp manufacture only recently. Againstthe background of environmental concerns, however, they are receiving increasing attention. Apart from covering the use conditions of the aluminium porphin derivative in the bleach of pulps, such as IMP, chemical pulp and secondary fibre pulps, the paper discusses the experiences gained in lab-scale and pilot tests as well as industrial-scale trials.%Bei dem in den beschriebenen Versuchen eingesetzten Photoaktivator handelt es um sich um ein trisulphoniertesAluminiumphtalocyanin. Derartige Photokatalysatoren finden heute bereits in der Textil- und Waschmittelindustrie Verwendung zur Bleiche und Farbauffrischung. Es wird auf die photokatalytische Sauerstoffanregung und auf mögliche Reaktionsmechanismen eingegangen. Die Verwendung solcher metallorganischer Katalysatoren bei der Papierherstellung bzw. bei der Halbstoffbleiche ist noch sehr jung, findet aber auch im Rahmen der heutigen Umweltdiskussion zunehmend Interesse. Die jeweiligen Einsatzbedingungen des verwendeten Aluminiumpor-phinderivates bei der Bleiche von Halbstoffen, wie TMP und Altpapier werden erläutert und die Erfahrungen aus Labor- und Technikumsversuchen sowie Betriebsversuchen werden diskutiert.
