MOORINGS POLICY: BW LAUNCHES PUBLIC CONSULTATION

In late October, British Waterways launched a three-month public consultation which invites views on its proposed policy for leisure and residential moorings in England and Wales. The consultation considers how mooring space along the waterways should be managed, and is split into three sections:rn1. Where, and for how long, boats should be permitted to moor in areas of particularly high usage. It is suggested that this could see rules in areas where problems are most pressing being set through a process of local mooring strategies.
