The US EPA is collecting information to be used in a detailed study of unused pharmaceutical disposal methods by hospitals,long-term care facilities,hospices and veterinary hospitals. The announcement coincides with news that the Associated Press has used Freedom of Information powers to obtain data from cities that appears to prove Pharmaceuticals are present in the drinking water supplies of 41 million US residents,albeit at extremely low levels.
