Huawei India to Invest ￡9,000 crore for R&D Center

Huawei India is on the verge of launching a research and development center in Bengaluru for local manufacturing and other activities. It will invest $2 bn (about R9,000 crore) in the next 5 years to set up the R&D center. The comprehensive 5-year plan will focus on development, augmentation and cooperation in the areas of local R&D, local manufacturing, technology cooperation with Indian IT service companies, local sourcing, local employment, talent development, and supporting rural education and IT literacy in India.
