Idea Cellular board approves merger with Vodafone India

Aditya Birla-led Idea Cellular's Board has ap-proved the merger application with Vodafone India and Vodafone Mobile Services to create India's largest telecom operator. The transaction is expected to close during calendar year 2018, subject to customary approvals.
