It is with pride and honor that I introduce myself as Visual Resources' new Editor, assuming the duties and directions of this journal from Helene E. Roberts, our indomitable and highly regarded leader since 1986. For over twenty years, Helene has guided Visual Resources through several publishing entities, numerous production managers and a plethora of submissions. With this issue and by her request, Helene becomes VR's Senior Editor, remaining active but with a lighter editorial load. I trust that my name is not unfamiliar to you as I have also been associated with VR since 1986 as Technology Editor and more recently as Associate Editor. Helene and I, along with Helen Ronan, Review Editor, will continue to work as V.R's main editorial team with only minor behind-the-scenes rearrangements of our tasks and duties.
