Hello Everybody

As I'm typing this column, it has been seven weeks since having assumed the role of Editor in Chief (EiC) of Vision System Design. I do so with a deep respect for the fact that Vision Systems Design has a rich, 20-year history as an important resource for the global machine vision and imaging community. I would first like to recognize and thank our outgoing EiC, Andrew Wilson, for the outstanding contributions he has made to the industry. I feel a certain sense of awe in taking over this particular role, noting the remarkable nature of what he has accomplished. As an indispensable knowledge worker, authority and champion of the industry, Andy has helped to shape the environment in which we all operate today.
