Line scan cameras provide high-speed inspection capabilities for tasks such as web inspection and capturing images of larger objects. Manufacturers of line scan cameras continue advancing the technology by introducing or improving upon abilities like faster line rates, increased resolution, and imaging beyond the visible. Line scan cameras feature single (e.g. 2048 × 1) or multiple rows of pixels (e.g. 2048 × 2) that capture images while objects or the camera move across the field of view of the lens.
