Assessment and Implementation of New Location Based Smartphone Technologies for Sport and Touristic Applications

摘要

This thesis is mainly focused on the iPointer technology and demonstrates how the iPointer technology can better serve the location needs of the tourists and their interactions with the surroundings in a smart way. A better challenge is to make the technology work for the upcoming World Ski Championships going to be held in Schladming in 2013. This event is going to attract billions of tourists all around the world and the main challenge is to asses and implement the capabilities of new iPointer technology for both sport and touristic explorations.
