Brand- und Löschversuche mit Wassernebel an Pappkartons und Kästen aus Polypropylen im Hochregal

Die Untersuchungen hatten zum Ziel, das Brand- und Löschverhalten bei unterschiedlichen Stoffen in einem Lagerausschnitt eines Hochregallagers festzustellen und zu vergleichen. Das verwendete Lagermaterial bestand einerseits aus Pappkartons und andererseits aus einwandigen Kunststoffkästen aus Polypropylen, Der Löscheinsatz erfolgte mit einer manuell ausgelösten Wassernebellöschanlage. Es wurde festgestellt, daß die Wassernebelanlage bei beiden Versuchen mit den Brandlasten Wellpappkartons beziehungsweise Kunststoffkästen aus Polypropylen einen Brand im Ent-wicklungsstadium innerhalb von wenigen Minuten soweit eingedämmt hat, daß nur noch kleine Brandstellen vorhanden waren.%The research was made to achieve and to compare the fire- and extinguishing behaviour of different materials in storage segments of a high rack storage. The used storage material was on the hand made of cardboard boxes and on the other of single face plastic boxes of polyethylen. The fire fighting operation was started with a manual water fog extinguishing gear. It was found out that the water fog device in both tests with the fire load cardboard boxes or plastic boxes of polyethylen could dam up the fire in the stage of development within minutes and only small burns remained.
