SBM Offshore has outlined plans to keep key floater projects close to their original schedules, despite the headwinds caused by the coro-navirus pandemic and the collapse in oil prices. The Dutch contractor said it expects to deliver the Liza Unity floating production, storage and offloading vessel on time from Singapore's Keppel Shipyard, despite the coronavirus outbreak all but halting work in Singapore fabrication yards. The Liza Destiny FPSO will go to the ExxonMobil-operated Liza field in Guyana. SBM chief operating officer Philippe Barril told analysts in a quarterly earnings call: "The hull was delivered out of China ahead of time and, before the stoppage in Singapore The modules fabrication was equally ahead. So we are closely interacting with the customer and our current assessment is that we would target on-sched-ule delivery."
