Heavy loss for DOF

OFFSHORE support vessel player DOF suffered a heavy loss in the first quarter due to a fleet impairment and currency losses, despite higher revenue, as it was hit by contract cancellations amid the Covid-19 crisis. The Oslo-listed contractor plunged to a Nkr4.1 billion ($415.7 million) net loss in the quarter, versus a year-earlier loss of Nkrl33 million, after racking up the impairment of Nkrl.5 billion due to market weakness that has impacted vessel demand as well as a currency loss of Nkr2.9 billion on the weaker Norwegian kroner.
