Bahamas rig lined up

BAHAMAS Petroleum has signed a firm rig deal with Stena Drilling that will see the London-listed junior spud its Perseverance-l well off the Bahamas as early as December. The company has signed on for a sixth-generation drilling unit, taking advantage of low dayrates in a poor drilling market. The exact unit to be used on the wildcat has yet to be decided but will be one of the drillships Stena Forth, Stena IceMax or Stena DrillMax.
