When Dave Perry, CEO of Ven-tro, says that he's seen the highs and lows in the perception of the B-to-B space, he's not exaggerating. From its offering price of $15 a year ago, Ventro's stock soared to $243.50 in March 2000. But, following the Nasdaq meltdown last April, the stock dipped below $40. To make matters worse, after the company reported its third- quarter earnings (ended Sept. 30, 2000), Ventro's stock hit an all-time low of $3.63.
