Aero Vironment Receives $16M Contract for Raven

AeroVironment received a $16 million contract with the U.S. Army to update logistics support on its Raven unmanned aircraft. The logistics support services for Raven, which provides real-time video imagery for "over the hill" and "around the corner" reconnaissance, will be delivered within the coming months. U.S. armed forces have used Raven primarily for missions like base security, routine, reconnaissance, mission planning and force protection. Each Raven system typically consists of three aircraft, two ground control stations and additional spare parts.
